About the assignment
The purpose of the MCX SME role is to develop methodology to evaluate and advise on interoperability of MCX components, especially between MCX client and MCX server.
The client values a candidate who can work on site in Gothenburg, but the minimum requirement is that the consultant can come to Gothenburg when the physical tests require it.

Shall-have-requirement
The Consultant SHALL have mission critical Services as defined in 3GPP (capabilities as stated in 3GPP Stage 1, TS 22.280, 22.179, 22.281, 22.282)
The Consultant SHALL has experience in design and/or test and troubleshooting on SIP protocols and MCPTT, VoLTE or other SIP enabled VoIP
The Consultant SHALL have a good understanding of Mission Critical Services architecture (3GPP Stage 2: TS 23:280, 23.379,281,282) and protocols (3GPP Stage 3, e.g. TS 24.379,380,481,482,483,484)
The Consultant SHALL have knowledge in using Wireshark, Android logs and other sources when troubleshooting clientserver interface
The Consultant SHALL have knowledge in ways to extract necessary information from logs from network and occasionally MCX server when troubleshooting. This requires navigating Linux OS retrieving the information, and together with MCX server vendor agree on how to retrieve proprietary information when required
The Consultant SHALL have good understanding of MCX end-to-end architecture including applications layer, core network, Radio network and 4G/5G network QPP mechanisms
The Consultant SHALL have the ability to assume responsibility and conduct tasks with minimum supervision and to lead and train others in a small group
Should-have requirement
The consultant SHOULD Contributions in IETF or 3GPP related work around mission critical services or IMS
The consultant SHOULD have experience in publishing scientific articles or subject-specific literature in the domain.
Competence level 3
Knowledge: High competence in their field
Experience: 4-8 years as a consultant in the field, is a role model for others lower level consultants. Has been at level 2 for at least 2 years.
Management: Takes responsibility for sub-area, can lead a small group
Independence: Can work independently
Assignment period: Start as soon as possible/August, with a scope of 200 hours until 2025-12-31, with the possibility of extension
Location: Göteborg, possibility of some hybrid work.
